The EPI service is a multi-disciplinary team who provide evidence based, specialized, holistic and age & culturally safe interventions and supports for people experiencing or at risk of experiencing first episode of psychosis between the ages of 18 to 30 years and their families.
The service provides assessment, planning, treatment, consultation, follow-up, education and assertive outreach utilizing the provincial Standards and Guidelines.This position provides supported employment services to a caseload of clients recovering from severe mental illnesses and/or substance use disorders who are seeking competitive employment in an integrated community setting by performing duties such as:
assessing and evaluating client's vocationalrehabilitation needs; developing vocationalrehabilitation plans based on individual preferences, needs and abilities; collaborating with Case Managers and members of the multidisciplinary team to integrate vocational goals into mental health treatment plan; providing vocationalrehabilitation counselling to clients on an individual basis and in accordance with pertinent legislation and InteriorHealth’s policies; conducting job development, direct marketing and job search activities in collaboration with community employers; negotiating job accommodations and workplace agreements; and advocating on behalf of the client in accomplishing their goals of returning to the workforce.Shift times are from 08:
30 to 16:
30 hours.
